Well I certainly paid for last weekend. After visiting Hanover Furnace and then riding the trails at Apple Pie Hill all last Saturday and didn't sleep, I succumbed to the Flu by Monday, and by Tuesday got a temperature of 103, and developed Strep. Then to make matters worse, I had to go to the ER because of how high my temp shot up AFTER it had gone to normal. Lost my voice by Thursday and realized there would be no "me" at the radio station come Saturday. With the hype of the interview with Chris Squire and Steve Nardelli of the SYN this week on many circuits, I had to air the interview. But how? Well, Gene Godfrey, fellow DJ at z889/951, voiceover dude of the Gagliarchives stepped right up to the plate and read my script. It was radio at it's finest. Not to mention the first time in 14 years someone else hosted my show! I sat at home eager to hear, and was totally pleased. Gene was a lifesaver. My fever has been down for 1 1/2 days and although my throat still feels like someone ran razors over it, I am ready to get back to my regular work and hopefully resume my life pending no relapse. If you ever wanna get a cheap high, get the Flu. Who needs drugs when this lasts for days. My favorite part was hallucinating that backpacks full of water were hanging on the wall in my bedroom. Yowza. At any rate, the show was well responded and listenership peaked at 12:30am when Hatfield and The North's Hatwise Choice was aired. We held steady at 136. We welcomed new listeners tonight from Bordeaux and Lake Annecy, France; Manchester England; Helsinki and Kajaani FINLAND; Sollentuna, SWEDEN; and stateside here in San Francisco, CA. Tonight's program ran 4 Hours and 4 minutes.

Today was a wonderful day to start with. Last night we attended the Fluttr Effect concert in Philadelphia, PA. It was an incredible show. Imagine Tori Amos mixed with King Crimson and a dose of insanity and you get Fluttr Effect. Incredible band that has accepted our offer to play in our studios in the spring. Unfortunately, I had to get up at 7am today to get special access to the Military base to be a part of an expedition that would take us to the old Hanover Furnace excavation. I shouldn't even say unfortunately....for those that know me...I am a huge history buff. To see the test shot cannonballs from the early 1800's was inspirational. What a humbling feeling. For god's sake, we even saw the old Mill Cogs...amazing. At any rate...I was in a stupor the rest of the day. The program went very well as usual with average listenership. Our program peaked at 10:45 with 139 listeners while Fareed Haque Group was featured. Then it shot up again at 11:45 while we premiered the new Underground Railroad disc with 140 as well. We let the Aural Moon listeners pick our guest interview to played due to the fact the Crafty Guitarist cancelled due to a bad Flu that hit a few of the members. We welcomed new listeners tonight from Maidstone, Britain; Stockholm, Sweden; Mont-Saint-Aignan, France; and stateside here at the Delaware Water Gap; Durham, NC; Reston, VA; and Atlanta GA. Tonight's program ran exactly 3 Hours and 58 minutes.

Not as cold, and as they say...spring is on it's way...We aired our interview with Keyboard wizard Patrick Moraz. Patrick was great. He touched on many different aspects of his career and showed great interest in our program. Listenership was strong again and peaked 2x...first time at 10:30 when we had a 145 listeners during our airing of Spanish band Granada and their Valle Del Pas album...then we peaked again at Midnight when we had 145 as well at the closing of the Patrick Moraz interview. We welcomed new listeners tonight from Colchester Britain, Sollentuna, Sweden; Aabenraa Denmark; Martinez, Argentina and stateside here in Little Rock AR; Atlanta GA; and Burlington VT. New carpets in the station's hallway...ahhh I love the new smell of stain free carpeting. Tonight's program was dedicated to quite a few people. First and foremost, to a big fan of our program who suddenly passed away this week, Jerry Keller. Jerry was a regular listener who always had a great requests and was loved in our community. We also dedicated this program to BBC disc jockey Tommy Vance who was a pioneer for airing many lesser known progressive rock bands in the 1970's. Our program was also dedicated to the safe return of Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone Junior who vanished from Philadelphia, PA on February 19th and have not been seen since. Tonight's program ran exactly 4 Hours.

A highly responded show. Lot of great phone calls. Featured an interview with Doug Ott of Enchant....very nice guy...Listeners especially liked the tributes to GIlmour and Squire...Mars Volta was most requested of the night over 14 calls in the following 2 hours. It's a hit.
