5/7/05, 53°F.
Tonight was a tribute the Female side of the genre. We featured a lot different acts new and old with surprisingly, more female callers than usual. They loved Emily Bezar's new one, Lana Lane and Toyah Wilcox. How sexy is she? We had a special guest tonight in Derek Shulman of Gentle Giant. He joined us to talk about the forthcoming Gentle Giant remasters. The interview was taken many different ways by our listeners. Some felt Derek was a bit distant on his feelings of Gentle Giant, while others felt that Derek has accomplished a lot in not only Gentle Giant, but his career as a producer, and head of numerous record labels. I enjoyed Derek's straightforwardness. Derek was honest and to the point, while touching on his personal feelings on his past. This may have been one of our favorites of the year. Our program peaked at the Midnight hour with 136 online listeners as we featured White Willow and flautist Tirill. Sadly, Pierre Moerlen passed away Monday night, we closed out with a tribute to him, with many heartfelt emails from our listeners. Still can't believe it. Too young. We welcomed new listeners from Barak, Israel; and Birmingham, United Kingdom. Tonight's program ran 4 hours and 6 minutes.
