2/12/05, 29°F.
Chilly again here in the Pines...a nice night though. A lot of cops out tonight. Yikes! Tonight stat wise, was our highest online listenership since the first week in January. We peaked at 11:00 with over 160 steady listeners peaking into 170 at 11:45. We closed out with Jimmy Smith And Wes Montgomery off the cuff. It was kind a magical in the studio...lights dimmed...almost like the night we did our Shawn Lane tribute. All my New England fans went out of their way to let me know the Eagles lost the Superbowl. Whatever. You didn't play that great. You would have thought the New England Patriots figured out the Middle East Peace Process with how they won the game. Dynasty? Dallas Cowboy's of the 90's, Niner's of the 80's...NY Giants of the late 80's....THOSE were dynasties. We will be there in the Superbowl when the Pats are in the basement of their division. On a lighter note, :) From time to time I get great emails from first time listeners. Here is another to add for this week.
> And whilst I have your attention, thank you, thank> you, thank you, for> keeping this vital and important music alive and> well. I can't even begin to> describe the joy I am experiencing, just knowing> that the logical> progression is alive and well.> > > Best regards,> > Enoch Gamoian.
It's nice to get these when you work all week hoping to get a rise so they can sit around their radio or computer and share with you what you have been pegging yourself with all week...the hope SOMEBODY liked it. I dedicated the show to my buddy Tim Kubit who is having another addition to their family soon! Congrats again you radio devil you....On a sadder note, we send a prayer out to our Livery staffer Big Bob Lovin on his recent loss. This program ran 4 Hours and 5 minutes.
