1/22/05, 18°F.
For the second time in 14 years, a program was cancelled from home base due to weather. Our headquarters in Pemberton, NJ were bitchslapped when we received over a foot of snow and the bypass was closed due to the State Of Emergency. This program was a rerun of our November interview with Happy The Man, and our tribute to The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. We ran the program from home tonight and it was cool to be home in my jammies...friend of ours Vaxman had an awesome webcam that showed people spinning out in front of his house. Here was a great email from Europe:
Stian and I happened to tune in to this show last night (which means we were up LATE, according to Norwegian time signatures...), and we had a really good time listening to it. I really enjoyed the interview with Happy the Man members Stan Whitaker and Frank Wyatt, and I was amazed to learn that they are surprised when told that Germans mention them in the same breath as the Classic Great Ones: King Crimson, Genesis, Yes, ELP, Jethro Tull etc. I mean, don't we all?? The one track that was played from their new album (well, quite new!) completely blew my mind. If the rest of the album is that spectacular, then I have no idea why we don't own a copy of it yet! : ) The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway tribute was also great; a wonderful way to celebrate the album's 30th anniversary. Now I wanna play in a Genesis cover band too! lol! Counting out time: Gunhild.
The Lamb is a classic. Makes me feel fuzzy. This program ran 4 hours 4min. At any rate, the Eagles play Atlanta tomorrow..my innards are-a-twistin. GO BIRDS!
